Support capping the rates for all types of phone calls to love ones in prisons
I understand that things have to cost money, such as talking to a loved one that is in jail or a prison but, do they really need to charge so much? I guess that is why my husband and I choose to have 1-2 calls a week and the rest is letter writing since we really can't sum up a lot in 15 minutes on the phone! I would rather keep getting letters (of course I love my mail so that's just me!) I love writing him and it seems that you can say a lot more in a card/letters than you can in the short 15-minute calls that come in. Not to mention if there are others listening or near you, you can't always say everything that is on your mind at the time!
I signed this petition to support capping the rates for all types of phone calls to prisons.
I wish that I could spend more to talk to my husband but, at this time its hard and with putting money on his books, money on the phone and sending him other things that cost money and then the visits everything adds up way too fast.
